Learn More About the Do No Harm Provision

In the Summer of 2025, Congress passed H.R. 1 (or “the One Big Beautiful Bill” or the Reconciliation legislation) which included changes to the Title IV of the Higher Education Act. One of these changes with the greatest implications for the preparation of the early childhood education workforce was the establishment of the “Do No Harm” provision which goes into effect July 1, 2026. Public comment is now being accepted.
